Project "Yakutia '08"
1. Description of the Project
In 2008 there is a particular need to organize a camp for teenagers. There are camps in Yakutia for young people and for children, so this year we are hoping and planning to provide a camp for teenagers. There is also a need to organize a seminar for the church servants who work with teenagers.
The camp
1. There will be teenagers from different villages. On the whole this will be a camp for believers, but we will reward those who will bring their non-believing friends.
2. Each mentor will be a leader of 3-4 teenagers. This is necessary for personal communication and for mutual understanding between teenagers and their leaders. We want to become friends with these teenagers.
3. The camp will last for 8 days.
4. The camp will include helping the elderly (for example, helping in housework or in the garden), helping families with many children, short trips to churches and one to a reservation (Buluus). Maybe we will prepare something for the families or just play with the children and spend time with them.
5. There will be discussions on different themes.
6. We will form a "Cinema Club" to watch some movies and discuss them.
7. At the end of the camp, we want to have an evening with games.
8. The main aim is to provide an opportunity to form personal relationships with God using our own example.
Special Efforts
1. To render assistance to churches.
2. To visit and to render assistance to families with many children.
