SPCU Students in Pushkin

On one of the Saturdays of October, the leadership of SPCU organized an excursion to Pushkin for the students. It was done with help from our friends.  Galina Lopanitsina guided the excursion. It was a wonderful autumn day, one of those with which autumn ends.  Student descriptions of the trip follow.

"In October we (the 1st and 2nd year students) went on an excursion to Pushkin. We had a good guide, who told us a lot of interesting things about St. Petersburg.  The weather was wonderful.  It was ‘golden’ autumn. Tsarskoye Selo looked perfect. We walked through beautiful alleys and admired its architectural beauties.

Besides that, we visited the palace of Ekaterina. We have never seen such a beautiful and majestic building as this. We were delighted by the splendor of the palace; in every room we felt the atmosphere of grandeur. The main treasure of the palace is the Amber Room. It is so unique that it seems impossible for man to have built it.

It seemed like we were transferred into the époque of kings, palaces and balls. We were really delighted by the sights.  We recommend everybody to visit this town and this palace.
We're very thankful for the organization of this trip; it is a good memory in our hearts. We had a great time together and made a lot of photos."   Larisa and Marina Stepanovi, Irina Sadakova.

"The trip made a great impression on me. The autumn walk provided a good rest. We had a wonderful time together. I was delighted by the palace of Ekaterina, by its unique and precious furniture. We felt ourselves in a dream. Thank you very much for organizing this trip for us." Alena Chukina.

"It was a very interesting trip. I have never been in a place like that, but I’ve seen such beauty in photos. It was remarkable and fascinating for me to be there. I felt myself in the past, which was really beautiful. Thank you a lot."  Firuza Dgumaeva.

"I want to have more trips like that."  Bahrom Kalonov.

"It was the best time for a trip to Pushkin; the leaves were at their best, the humidity was wonderful and the bus w as great."  Dasha Smirnova.

"It was an impressive and interesting trip.  Since at school I had learned the history of Russia, of St. Petersburg, Tsarskoye Selo and A.S. Pushkin, it was really interesting to visit this place.  I had wanted to see these architectural beauties and God gave me such an opportunity.  I was delighted by this architecture and art.  I realized that it is a great pleasure for Russia.  A big advantage was that we went there all together.  It was wonderful; we will never forget this time. We became more friendly."  Juriy Vervai.
